In the Hospital Again...

Hey everyone! Just thought I would post a quick note. I had to take Kristin back to the hospital last night, and they ended up admiting her. She has had gall bladder issues for the past month or so, and the O.B.'s in their infinite wisdom have had her on some super strong narcotics being pregnant.

The doctors have been struggling to keep the pain under control, but all of this has taken a definite toll on the little guy. Today, he gave us all a scare because his pulse dropped severly to the point of almost forcing a delivery at only 29 or 30 weeks along.

I'm not sure when they are going to let her go yet, but I am sure that they will make sure that her and the baby are fine before they do. The hospital I took her too is #1 in the state of Oregon for high risk pregnancy and premature birth. Any prayers or anything like that would be very much welcomed at this point too. I'll update when I come back home and am near my computer again. Take care!!

Just an update!

Kian Alexander Sullivan was born 4-4-08. He weighs 2lb 14oz, and is approx 15 inches long.

They decided to deliver prematurely due to complications arising from irregular hearbeat with baby, and extremely high blood pressure with Kristin despite medication.

Kristin is doing fine now, but during the surgery she almost died due to breathing complications during the c-section.

Both her and Kian are doing well. The doctor said that she will be home in about 3-4 days. Kian will be in the NICU for around 4-6 weeks as he was born premature at 30 weeks gestation.

I am going up there right now, and I'm taking the digital camera with me to get baby pics!

I will post pics of him either tonight or tomorrow. She truely couldn't have had better doctors that day. Both her and Kian are truely miracles in the flesh Take care everyone! [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

Thanks everyone! [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (((hugs))) I tried to get pics when I was up there, but the nurses were trying to keep him calm since when he screams he forgets to take in air at the same time so his oxygen drops. Hopefully tonight I will have more luck!
